Wood Group Kenny wins Australia’s Subsea Company of the Year AwardWood Group Kenny has picked up the Subsea Company of the Year award at the inaugural Subsea Energy Australia award ceremony, held in Perth. Nominated companies were judged not only on their commercial and strategic performance, but also on people development, leadership culture and the impact they have made to their communities. In awarding Wood Group Kenny, the judges made specific reference to the company’s significant intake of graduates from the University of Western Australia and Curtin University, and its commitment to technology initiatives to help the future needs of the subsea industry. Wood Group Kenny opened an office in Perth in 1985 and now has over 400 staff spread across Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane. Since opening in Australia, the company continues to win major subsea and pipeline FEED (Front End Engineering Design) through project management and operations support, on the N W Shelf, Timor Sea and Bass Strait. Recent contract awards include subsea and pipeline engineering for Woodside’s deepwater Browse project and for Apache Energy’s Julimar gas field development.
