Young Speakers in the Spotlight

Robert Gordon’s College has made it through to the final of the North of Scotland Schools Public Speaking competition.

The final in March 2012 is an exciting prospect for the Gordon’s team consisting of Hussain Raja (Chairman), Sean Press (Speaker) and Tomas Sanders (Voter of Thanks). They qualified for the final stage of the competition as a result of their performance in a heat held at Keith Grammar School in which Sean gave a speech about “The Enemy Within”, which looked at the cultural shifts between generations and how every young generation is seen as being worse than all of the ones that have gone before!

The Robert Gordon’s College team will face Keith Grammar, Mackie Academy and St Margaret's School for Girls in the final, which takes place at Curl Aberdeen on Wednesday 14 March 2012.
