This half day course is suitable for those working in an export or import environment that need further detailed information on origin calculations and how this effects sales and purchases. It includes an overview of the different types of origin documentation and provides a practical session on how to read the customs notices allowing origin to be established. What will I learn? Explanation of Origin Rules for Non-Preferential Origin Certificates of Origin, UK and Arab Rules for Preferential Origin Trade Agreements Practical Session Movement Certificates – EUR1 EU – UK Trade Agreement Preference on Imports to include General System of Preference (GSP) Commodity Codes and the Tariff Exam There is an optional exam (open book) at the end of the course, this is marked by the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) and gives a certificate of competence. These exams (on passing 6 subjects) will lead to a BCC Foundation Award in International Trade which is mapped to a Level 2 SVQ terminology and provides invaluable basic skills for small and large companies alike.
