John Peebles, CEO, Administrate
John McMaster, former Aberdeen football player
Strong leaders are vital in taking organisations to new heights. They see things differently, have a vision of where they want to be going and aren’t restricted by what’s impossible but find ways that enable whole companies to find the right path.
In an increasingly dynamic world where global social and political factors influence businesses from small to large, business leaders need to have a flexible approach and an ability to think ahead.
Hear from expert speakers on how leaders maintain their vision and continue to inspire while constantly planning and adapting in today’s business world.
John Peebles, CEO of Administrate will focus on the power of company culture and why people are the strongest part of any business.
He has extensive experience designing and implementing complex products and processes across a variety of industries. His experience spans all aspects of software and product development lifecycle, growing healthcare and education technology start-ups in America and Scotland as well as developing business plans. He is passionate about education, great teamwork and technology and often speaks on these subjects around the world.
Hear from John McMaster, former Aberdeen Football Club player, who played throughout the entire tenure of Sir Alex Ferguson. He will discuss the lessons he learned whilst working under the leadership of the Aberdeen legend, by looking at the methods used to turn Aberdeen Football Club into a team of winners and explain how this can be translated into a business context.

During his time at Aberdeen Football Club John, was able to study first-hand the methods Sir Alex used to turn a good team into a great team, culminating with victory over Europe’s finest in the 1983 European Cup Winners Cup to supplement numerous domestic League and Cup triumphs. He was a skilful midfielder on the edge of inclusion in the national team until a horror injury put him out of the game for 18 months, during which time Sir Alex took him under his wing and gave him a rare insight into how he did much of his business away from the training ground.
