Derek Leith, global oil & gas tax lead & Aberdeen tax partner, EY
Bob Cardno, director, business tax advisory, EY
Hot on the heels of Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond’s Autumn Budget on October 29, we invite you to join EY and Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce as we analyse the Government’s plan for the economy at the annual post-Budget business breakfast.
Speakers Derek Leith and Bob Cardno, both of EY, will discuss the impact and repercussions of the Chancellor’s fiscal plan, exploring what it means for the North-east’s key sectors and business resilience.
Against a backdrop of a rising oil price, we ask whether the Chancellor’s measures will support the steps that have been taken over the last year to support the region’s diversification agenda; and whether it may have an impact on the significant levels of planned investment currently in the pipeline to improve and expand our local infrastructure and meet our ambitions in the all energy, digital, life sciences, food & drink and tourism sectors.
Questions will also be asked of how the Budget may influence our economy in the post-Brexit world.
A panel of local business leaders will join Derek and Bob to give their views on the key issues affecting their sectors, bringing to life how the Budget will affect you and your business.
