Have you ever wanted to simulate what might happen if your business made a strategic move such as introducing a new product, entering a new market or acquiring a competitor?  Business wargaming is a no-risk, insightful way to test what might happen if you did.

Wargaming has been utilised in the military for decades and is a proven technique for considering strategic initiatives and the likely reactions of rivals. Wargaming is about pressure testing business plans to make sure they contribute to the bottom line.

Business and large organisations need to be sure their plans maximise opportunities and efficiencies. Wargaming brings a controlled challenge to business strategies and plans to expose weakpoints, increase foresight and identify risk.

So, why should you consider making business wargaming a part of your company’s strategic decision making? Traditional commercial planning considers market conditions, stakeholder behaviour and other factors in depth. However, it tends to only address the situation at the time of planning. Such a static approach fails to adequately take likely future dynamics into account. Business Wargaming deals with this; it allows you to simulate how conditions will develop over time as well as assessing stakeholder’s reactions to your moves. It looks at stakeholder interdependencies and predicts likely outcomes.
