How can businesses keep pace with the accelerated evolution of employee benefits while looking after their people and keeping costs down?

And what role does technology have?

North-east-based Acumen Employee Benefits is hosting a free virtual event next month that considers these questions and looks in detail at some of the digital tools available.

The organisation’s head of employee benefits, Andy Eason, said: “McKinsey and Company’s ‘The Next Normal — The recovery will be digital’ August report says data show COVID-19 has seen us vault five years forward in consumer and business digital adoption in a matter of around eight weeks.

“And, chances are for businesses, that means growth and even survival depend on accelerating digital capabilities to keep pace.

“Our EB Live event looks in detail at the role employee benefits has to play in this organisational success, and how new technology is making a huge difference.”

Speakers for the virtual sessions, primarily aimed at the HR community, on 6 and 7 October include John Stewart, award-winning HR director at SSE who’ll talk about quantifying the value of the human capital that a business borrows from society, and how reporting can capture the return on investment from training, including from social inclusion programmes.

Also speaking is Andrew Morris, sales director, from employee benefits platform Zest who will look at how to use data to inform the design of benefits and communication strategies, and Dr Naomi Irvine from People Development Associates will give an overview of the power of conversations as a leadership tool to uncover, and resolve, the organisation’s most pressing issues during intense change and uncertainty.

Attendees will also find out more about how artificial intelligence can support the workforce.

Other topics focus on the environmental context, such as the benefits of a green vehicle fleet, as well as environmental, social and corporate governance. Mindfulness, health and planning for the future are also on the agenda.

Delegates can pick and choose the sessions they want to attend across the two days. Visit acumeneb.com to find out more and book your space.
