Luxury homebuilder, Bancon Homes has launched a stunning show home at its new Aden Meadows development in the Aberdeenshire village of Mintlaw.

Aden Meadows is a beautiful development of three, four and five bedroom homes, built to Bancon Homes’ signature high specification.

Phase one comprises 20 homes and buyers can choose from a range of house styles, including generous open plan living spaces with designer kitchens and high-quality appliances as standard, as well as en-suite bathrooms and built-in storage space. Bancon Homes’ traditional house types at Aden Meadows have been updated to include full height windows to flood the living spaces with light.

The development has already seen considerable interest from homebuyers since it was launched in February, with 12 homes already sold off plan.

The new show home has been decorated by interior designer Karen Wootton from The Design House in Aberdeen, using a range of opulent furnishings against a grey backdrop complemented by vivid colours and luxurious textures in each of the spacious rooms.

The show home is a “Larch” house style which is a four-bedroom detached home with a double garage, featuring an open plan kitchen and dining room with French doors leading to the garden, in addition to a separate living room. These generous rooms create great spaces to cook, relax and entertain in. The kitchen comes complete with a designer, German Nobilia kitchen and premium siemens appliances and there is also a separate utility room which adds to the already generous proportions of the living space.

On the first floor, the four bedrooms benefit from oak finished built-in wardrobes, with a luxury ensuite in the master bedroom as well as a beautiful family bathroom. The property is tiled with Porcelanosa tiling throughout.

The master bedroom also has an impressive walk-in wardrobe and the property is completed with a landscaped front and rear garden and an integral double garage with internal door access.

Commenting on the show home Interior designer Karen Wootton said “My aim was to create an air of intrigue for visitors and a sense of arrival at the Larch show home, so that potential buyers would be excited to see what each room looked like and imagine themselves living in such glamorous surroundings.”

“Against a backdrop of grey base tone throughout, I’ve used eye-catching colours such as the “2020 Colour Of The Year” Classic Blue alongside botanical and animal prints.

“The lounge of the Larch for example with its vivid blue feature sofas is complemented by metallic velvet wallpaper with black and white accessories. This not only makes a striking, statement living room but also offers great comfort.

“One of the main talking points has to be the stunning wallpaper panels in the spacious kitchen /dining area. In the current climate it was particularly important for me to focus on this space and make this a central part of the home, not only used as an area to bring everyone together but in this challenging times for entertaining friends and family, as a work space for the necessary ‘zoom calls’ and a tranquil setting for some lone quiet time.

“Here I have aimed to bring nature and the outside in with an exquisite orchid wallpaper panel against a gorgeous circular table. The grey background paper comes to life with its striking green foliage, floral orchids and colourful hummingbirds to make a beautiful contrast.”

Adding to this Jo Skinner, sales director at Bancon Homes, said: “We are delighted to open our new show home at Aden Meadows, which we really hope will help buyers to imagine just how beautiful their new Larch home could be.

“Since we launched Aden Meadows in February it has proved to be extremely popular, with 12 of the 20 homes in the first phase already sold off plan. The opening of our show home is an important milestone for the development, and we hope it will show just how versatile these contemporary homes are for buyers of all types.

“With prices starting at £179,995 and designer kitchens, quality appliances and stunning finishes included as standard we aim to offer luxury homes combined with value and of course our award-winning customer service.”

Mintlaw is within easy reach of Aberdeen, Peterhead and Fraserburgh, and is just a 20-minute drive to the Bridge of Don.

Buyers will be able to take advantage of living close to Aden Country Park and Pitfour Lake with its beautiful walks, as well as having schools, a garden centre and convenience stores on their doorstep.
