STC INSISO’s team of investigators will be hosting their COMET Conference as a free virtual event this year consisting of bite-size hour-long sessions throughout several dates in November. The problem-solving company decided on the virtual format to make the conference accessible to interested parties globally.

COMET is STC INSISO’s flagship incident investigation and root cause analysis (RCA) toolkit, which has become widely utilised and trusted across numerous industries including oil and gas, construction, marine and utilities. Its unique methodology generates high quality input data to identify systemic causes and gives users a solid foundation for making sound decisions to ensure future incident prevention.

The conference will get under way on November 17 with an introductory session from keynote speaker, James Pomeroy, Director and Global Health and Safety Leader at multinational professional services firm, Arup. James will explore some provocative thinking around the current depth of typical incident causation.

The following session will be conducted by former Detective Superintendent Alan Smith, and former HSE leader Steve Holmes who are now both directors at STC INSISO. In sharing some of their experiences, Alan and Steve will explore the importance of taking a proactive approach to identifying and eliminating dormant root cause before they become active and cause real harm.

Further sessions will take place on November 22, 24 and 29 . All details are listed on: https://www.cometanalysis.com/news/comet-con-2022-free-virtual-conference
