Food, drink and tourism Chamber update

So it is the end of May already – how did that happen? The good news is there is lots of progress being made in supporting the food, drink and tourism sectors across the region and beyond.

Food tourism – along with several other stakeholders from the North-east, I attended a workshop to develop a Scotland wide food tourism framework in Glasgow last month. This initiative is being led by The Scottish Tourism Alliance and Scotland Food & Drink. There is further consultation ongoing and I look forward to providing an update in due course.

Destination tourism trategy - at the Tourism Conference on March 20, VisitAberdeenshire, in partnership with stakeholders and consultancy, Toposophy, rolled out a destination strategy for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. The summary document is available on the industry area of VisitAberdeenshire website. I know many of you have already been attending the follow-up workshops and would encourage you to keep involved as there is an amazing amount of support available to business.
