There is always something special about receiving the news that you’ve been shortlisted for industry awards.

The Trades Awards are particularly special. They celebrate the very best in trades performance across our region. They shine a spotlight on businesses and individuals who continue to raise standards, innovate and deliver exceptional results, often in the toughest of circumstances.

This year, we’re delighted to once again be finalists in two categories: Outstanding Customer Service and Construction Supplier of the Year. We’ve enjoyed success over many years in the Trades Awards. Much more importantly though, every shortlist represents independent recognition of the hard work and professionalism shown by our entire team, day in and day out.

These last few years have brought no shortage of challenges for construction and our industry in general. We see how the market faces the daily dilemma of increasing costs, tightening budgets, and the ongoing need to find reliable suppliers who deliver quality AND value.

We’ve also seen tremendous examples of businesses and individuals who share our values and commitment: to invest, adapt and find new ways to create value for their customers. That’s what encourages us the most; that there is still a core of suppliers who stand out and can be relied upon to deliver personal, quality service.

And that’s what makes it feel great to be recognised again. These nominations reflect the partnerships we’ve built over many years. How we work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers and our wider network to consistently deliver quality while creating lasting value. Those relationships are what the Goldstar business is built on.

As we drive our way through Goldstar’s fifth decade in business, we’re as committed as ever to maintaining the standards, values and service that are at the heart of our support for the construction industry.

A thriving trades sector matters so much. It creates skilled jobs, strengthens local supply chains, and supports communities. We’re proud to serve that sector - and many others - and look forward to celebrating with our fellow finalists later this year. Good luck, everyone!
