The launch of Fuego Feroz

LAST month, we held an exclusive social dinner in collaboration with The Tippling House, launching our newest beer, Fuego Feroz, to the public.
To be consumed with caution, this pale ale is packed full of habaneros, giving it a real fiery flavour.

Not only will it smack you around the chops like a wild Niño going full pelt at a piñata, the zesty fresh lime juice gives the brew a light, refreshing, yet fiercely hot finish.

This beer will come fully equipped with a caution warning, when we say it’s hot, it’s hot.

Being the new kids on the block, we’ve loved the support we’ve received over the past few months from everyone in the industry, and with great relationships, come even better tastings.

Teaming up with the guys at The Tippling House, their in-house chefs created a series of small plates and platters for guests to drool over, whilst sipping on our fine brews – did you know we’re currently sitting at number one in Scotland as the best brewery in Scotland on Untappd.

Pretty cool huh!?

First up was our Eskimo Joe pale ale, which was paired with a beautiful venison and silverskin onion hot pot.

Tucking into the flavours of the tenderised venison, the notes of coffee in the beer complemented it beautifully.

The tropical flavour bomb known as Granadilla Guerrila, our West Coast IPA with passion fruit, was paired with a smoky BBQ pulled pork shoulder slider in a brioche bun with rocket and kick ass gherkins to accompany.

My lord, that’s how you pair passion fruit with barbecue.

The first beer we ever produced, our refreshing Lemmy ‘Avit wheat beer with spades and spades of lemons and hard rock salt, was up next.

Paired with a beautiful lamb and apricot tagine with pickled lemon and served with five spice flatbread - this was by far most of the Fierce team’s favourite dish.

With bursts of different flavours exploding in our mouths, these guys nailed this pairing with the lemony, zesty tastes Lemmy boasts.

Our new Fuego Feroz spiced pale ale was the final beer before dessert.

Paired with two dishes, honey and pistachio coated chicken drumsticks and garlic & rosemary-infused hanger steak, the heat of the beer was divine.

Gently warming the palette, the kick of lime and spice was perfectly paired with the tender meats and proved extremely refreshing.
To finish, the chefs created a beautiful chocolate mousse, pairing it with our Café Racer.

A dark porter with roasted espresso beans infused with Madagascan vanilla, this brew was smooth on the palette and a great accompanist to the chocolate mousse.

As well as a taster of our different beers, guests were also given the chance to chat to our brewing team informally too, giving a little more insight into the micro-brewery and what we hope to achieve in the coming months.

We received some immense feedback from guests and the comments on Fuego Feroz were incredible.

It seems to be a seriously sought-after beer after launching it last month and we can’t wait to share it with the rest of you.

A must try, you just have to get your hands on a bottle.

Until next time, stay Fierce!
