DOUNSIDE House, a luxury country house hotel, is situated within the spectacular landscape of the MacRobert estate in Royal Deeside.
Douneside was the original family home of the MacRoberts, well known locally for their significant philanthropy. It is now owned by a charitable trust, which was established by Lady MacRobert in 1943 and 100% of all profits made by Douneside are either reinvested in the property or gifted to UK charities.
Douneside was recently awarded AA Hotel of the Year (Scotland) 2017/18 and is home to Aberdeenshire’s only three rosette restaurant.
Douneside has 13 classic-contemporary bedrooms within the main house. In addition, there are holiday cottages and apartments within the grounds, ranging from studio to three bedrooms. All are individually designed and styled. An on-site Health Club offers a pool, sauna, steam room and state-of-the-art gym, so the perfect opportunity to unwind.
There are many other reasons to visit too – the spectacular views over the Howe O’ Cromar from the front door, the carefully tended gardens which produce over 80 different types of organically grown veg for the kitchen, direct access to the 7,200 acre MacRobert Estate with its vast network of paths and trails, to name a few.
Douneside House is delighted to be exhibiting at #TUBS2018. Douneside is the perfect base for Aberdeen city and shire businesses to hold off-site senior executive meetings and conferences.
