This weekend, I traded my running gear for an inflatable shark suit and hit the streets of Glasgow city centre - because if you’re going to spread smiles, you might as well do it properly!
What followed was pure joy — laughter, honks, double-takes, and plenty of “what on earth is that?!” moments. But behind the fun was something much deeper: a mission to raise awareness and vital funds for mental health and cancer support.
Through my Miles of Smiles campaign, I’m showing that even through pain and loss, there’s always space for hope, kindness, and connection.
The Journey So Far:
Since June 2025
- 1,520km covered (cycled, ran, and walked)
- £1,475 raised for SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health)
- £932 raised for Clan Cancer Support
- 130 cold showers & 32 cold dips
- +£7,000 raised in 2021 for mental health causes
I’ll be honest — donations have slowed recently, but the need these charities support hasn’t. If this story made you smile, please consider donating or sharing the links below. Every pound, every share, every kind word keeps this mission moving forward — and keeps hope alive for those who need it most.
