What type of learner are you?

It is widely agreed that there are many different ways that we prefer to learn and take in information and if possible retain and remember the information. From the many different ways there are four that are the most prevalent. Apparently we all have a preferred way to soak up knowledge whilst not always being aware of what our preference is.

Known as VARK, Visual, Auditory, Reading/writing and Kinesthetic each preference means we find it easier to absorb information in our natural style. For example;

  • Visual learners – prefer images and pictures (graph rather than lists)
  • Auditory learners – favour listening to the topic and discuss
  • Reading/writing learners – happiest with plenty of notes to read and write copious aid memoir
  • Kinesthetic learners – like to be “hands on” and learn more by doing and practicing

Our training courses incorporate several different methods of getting information across to ensure every style is catered for. Indeed, the interaction of students and the way they learn and impart information means the participants gain a great deal from each other’s input.

Our trainers ensure each learning style is catered for by employing many different delivery methods as well as making the course content memorable, enjoyable and interactive backed up with printed notes and a pad to record key points.
