In today’s increasingly global and hybrid workplaces, effective cross-cultural communication is essential. Even when colleagues share the same language or work in the same country, differing assumptions, communication styles and cultural norms can impact collaboration, trust and performance.

This interactive workshop equips participants with the awareness, tools and confidence to navigate cross-cultural interactions more effectively. Drawing on Meyer’s Culture Map, Transactional Analysis and real-world case studies, participants will explore how culture influences approached to feedback, time, decision-making and more - often in subtle but powerful ways.

With practical tools, discussion reflection, this session empowers individuals to recognise unconscious bias, stay grounded in emotionally intelligent adult communication and take meaningful action toward inclusive and respectful workplace relationships.

What will you learn

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the value of connecting across cultures in the modern workplace
  • Apply Meyer’s Culture Map to real-world communication challenges
  • Recognise and mitigate unconscious bias in cross-cultural contexts
  • Use Transactional Analysis to improve the quality of intercultural conversations
  • Create a personal action plan for more inclusive and effective communication
