Running a business requires you to manage up as well as down. So how do you manage all stakeholders effectively, tailoring your approach to get the results that you want?

All stakeholders are important to the success of the business, including customers, suppliers, funders, investors, boards and team members.

Others are no less important and may only be involved in parts of the business, such as subject matter experts and suppliers. But no matter their role, all of your stakeholders matter, and managing them effectively can make a big difference to the success of your business.

This course has been designed to help organisations engage positively with stakeholders and build long-term strategic relationships.

What will you learn?

This course will be broken down into three sections:

Identifying and analysing stakeholders

  • How to map out stakeholders
  • Analysing and understanding different relationships

Building and maintaining relationships

  • Creating a stakeholder management plan
  • Communicating and engaging with your stakeholders
  • Zippered organisational relationships

Working together

  • A partnership approach
  • Generating and maintaining buy-in
  • Working collaboratively and building consensus

Who is it for?

Operational or project managers, customer relationship specialists, communications professionals, and anyone looking to learn how to better engage with their stakeholders.

Cost and duration

This course lasts for one day and is delivered at the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce Training Hub by our approved expert trainers.

These sessions are also perfect for groups of staff that require the same training and can also be organised at your offices, an external location of your choosing.

Complementary courses we would recommend:

  1. Communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Essential management skills
  3. Sales and key account management
