One of the world’s most influential voices in mental health is heading to Aberdeen for an intimate, one-night-only dinner as part of the Ultimate Masterclass Festival 2026.

Internationally acclaimed clinical psychologist and bestselling author Dr Julie Smith will join guests at The Chester Hotel for a unique evening of conversation, insight, and reflection — paired with an exceptional dining experience.

With more than 10 million followers worldwide and two international bestselling books to her name, Dr Julie has helped millions better understand anxiety, burnout, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. This special dinner event will bring those powerful, evidence-based tools into an intimate, in-person setting.

Across the evening, Dr Julie will explore the pressures of modern life — from performance anxiety and imposter syndrome to stress, motivation, and emotional overload — offering practical strategies drawn from both clinical psychology and real-world experience. Guests will also have the opportunity to engage directly through a live Q&A, designed to encourage openness, honesty, and meaningful discussion.

Thought-provoking, reassuring, and deeply relevant, this is a rare opportunity to step away from the everyday and gain practical insight into managing life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

About Dr Julie

Dr Julie is an internationally acclaimed clinical psychologist, bestselling author, and one of the most influential mental health educators in the world.

After running a private clinical practice for nearly a decade, she began sharing short, evidence-based videos online in 2019, breaking down complex psychological concepts into practical tools for everyday life. Her calm, accessible approach has since attracted a global following of more than 10 million people, establishing her as a trusted authority on mental wellbeing.

Her debut book, Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?, became the top-selling nonfiction book of 2022, selling over one million copies, remaining on the Sunday Times bestseller list for more than 100 weeks, and being translated into over 40 languages. Her second book, Open When…, released in January 2025, debuted at number one.

Dr Julie is a regular contributor on ITV’s This Morning and BBC Radio 1’s Life Hacks, and has appeared on leading global podcasts including Diary of a CEO, Call Her Daddy, and Happy Place.
