About Ross Kemp
Ross Kemp is an award-winning actor, author and documentary maker whose television career has spanned more than three decades.
He became a household name playing Grant Mitchell in BBC One’s EastEnders, forming one half of the legendary Mitchell brothers and becoming one of the most recognisable figures in British television.
After establishing himself as one of the country’s best-known actors, Ross embarked on a second career as a documentary maker, travelling to some of the most dangerous and challenging environments in the world.
His groundbreaking series Ross Kemp on Gangs saw him investigate gang culture around the globe and won the BAFTA Award for Best Factual Series.
He went on to make Ross Kemp in Afghanistan, embedding with British soldiers fighting the Taliban in Helmand Province, alongside numerous documentaries examining conflict, crime, prisons, piracy, homelessness and some of the world’s most complex social issues.
