Six Olympic gold medals. Eleven world titles. One life-changing diagnosis.

Join us at Aberdeen Music Hall for an unforgettable evening with Sir Chris Hoy - Olympic legend, bestselling author, and one of Britain's most inspiring figures.

In a rare and deeply personal conversation, Sir Chris will share the mindset and methods that propelled him from local velodromes to global glory, and how those same tools are guiding him through his most challenging journey yet.

Diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in September 2023, Sir Chris revealed in October 2024 that his condition is terminal, with doctors estimating he has two to four years to live.

Despite this, he continues to inspire others with his positive outlook and unwavering determination.

This evening is more than a talk – it is a masterclass in resilience, mindset, and the power of perspective. Expect candid stories, moments of laughter, and profound insights into facing adversity with grace and courage.

About Sir Chris Hoy

Sir Chris Hoy is one of the most decorated Olympic athletes in British history, with six gold medals and eleven world titles to his name. His dominance on the track made him a household name — but it was his humility, focus and relentless work ethic that made him a national treasure.

From humble beginnings in Edinburgh to standing atop the Olympic podium in London, Beijing and Athens, Chris’s journey is a story of grit, resilience and the pursuit of excellence.

Beyond the bike, Sir Chris has built a second career inspiring others. He’s a bestselling author, successful entrepreneur, UNICEF ambassador and advocate for young people, always driven by the same core belief: that potential lies within us all.

In 2023, Sir Chris was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer — a battle he initially kept private, while undergoing intensive treatment. He has since publicly shared that the illness is terminal, with doctors estimating he may have just a few years left to live.

Since then, he has become a powerful voice in men’s health, encouraging early testing and open conversations, while continuing to live life with remarkable strength, purpose and positivity.
