Speakers:

Gordon Farmer is a Board Director at Global, formerly Global Energy Group, with extensive senior leadership and M&A experience across the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Over a career spanning executive and non-executive roles, Gordon has been closely involved in strategic transactions, investment decisions and business transformation. He has led a number of significant M&A transactions, including the landmark disposal of the Port of Nigg, bringing together strategic investment, infrastructure value and the long-term positioning of regional assets within the UK energy supply chain.

At Global, Gordon plays an active role in shaping the Group’s strategic growth and investment agenda as it expands its offering across the UK. His experience encompasses complex transactions, value creation, strategic investment and navigating the commercial and operational challenges associated with significant corporate change. 

Gordon is also Chairman for Aberdeen of the Scottish Financial Leaders Network, connecting him closely with senior figures across Scotland’s financial and business community.

With a strong track record across M&A, energy, infrastructure and strategic investment, Gordon brings a board-level perspective on transactions, value creation and the factors that drive successful deals.

Craig Wilson is a Partner in the CMS Corporate team, advising on mergers and acquisitions, investments and joint ventures across the energy sector. He has extensive experience acting on renewable energy, infrastructure, oil and gas and energy services transactions, helping businesses and investors execute strategic growth and transformation projects.

Melanie is a Chartered Accountant qualified with KPMG, with previous roles including Simmons and Company and RSM. Melanie is a founding partner in Quantify Advisors, an independent boutique corporate finance firm headquartered in Aberdeen. Quantify provides financial due diligence and buy side support to a range of Private Equity houses and Corporates, M&A advisory and financial modelling services.
