Robertson Granite is proud to celebrate a significant milestone as Managing Director Stewart Gibson marks 40 years of dedicated service.
Stewart joined the company on 11th August 1986, beginning his granite career in the drawing and estimating department before moving into the Aberdeen memorial retail division shortly thereafter. In September 1987, he became South Scotland Area Manager, based in Edinburgh, where he helped strengthen Robertson Granite’s presence across the region.
His leadership trajectory continued with his appointment as General Retail Manager in 1998, followed by promotion to Retail Sales Director in 1999. Stewart’s contribution over four decades has been central to the company’s growth, reputation, and continued commitment to quality craftsmanship.

The year 2026 also marks another major milestone: 150 years of Robertson Granite / Robertson Memorials manufacturing granite memorials and providing monumental services to both the trade and the public.
Together, these anniversaries highlight the company’s long-standing heritage and the enduring dedication of its people.
