4MS, specialists in telecommunications, networks and cyber security, has successfully achieved Fit 4 Offshore Renewables (F4OR) granted status.
F4OR is an industry-recognised supply chain support programme delivered by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, designed to equip businesses with the skills and expertise to win business in the offshore renewables sector.
This achievement confirms that 4MS meets the rigorous standards required to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions for offshore renewables projects. The comprehensive assessment covered critical areas of the business including health and safety, environmental performance, financial robustness and project management.
4MS took part in the fourth F4OR North East Scotland programme run in partnership with the Energy Transition Zone (ETZ) Ltd. Achieving granted status demonstrates 4MS’ readiness for the renewable energy market - highlighting the company’s strengths, potential and growing role in supporting the energy transition through the delivery of robust network infrastructure, secure communications, and critical systems integration, unlocking new opportunities for collaboration, innovation and sustainable growth.
Hugh Mackay, managing director at 4MS said: “Achieving F4OR highlights the strength and expertise of our team, and the capability we’ve built here at 4MS. It confirms we’ve got the tools and mindset to take on the challenges offshore renewables bring, and deliver solutions for these. It has also better equipped us in continuing to support our clients through the energy transition, whether they’re growing into renewables or pushing towards net zero. This recognition gives us a solid platform to help them get there.”
Davood Sabaei, Fit for Offshore Renewables (F4OR) programme lead at ORE Catapult, said: “Our warmest congratulations to the 4MS team on reaching this key milestone in their journey to expand their presence in the offshore renewables market, having worked diligently with our extended team of expert advisers over the rigorous F4OR programme.
“The F4OR programme requires commitment and dedication from management teams to secure granted status which demonstrates to the industry that they have built the requisite combination of skills, processes, leadership and sector specific capacity to bid for work in this important, expanding market.”
