8848 Restaurant has won an honour award at a hotly contested awards ceremony in Aberdeen last night (Tuesday, Feb 7).
The Union Street eatery won in the Best Indian Restaurant in Aberdeen City category at Aberdeen’s Best Curry Awards held at the city’s Double Tree Hotel by Hilton Treetops.
Krish Bhetuwal, co-director at 8848, said: “We’re delighted to have won this honour. It means so much to our entire team to have been recognised as the best Indian restaurant in Aberdeen.
“Every day we strive to offer the highest quality of food and service to every single customer. We were shortlisted among some fantastic restaurants and to have won is a real credit to our entire team. My sincere thanks go to them and all of our loyal customers at 8848 Restaurant.”
8848 opened in Aberdeen in November 2014 and offers an extensive menu of traditional Indian and Nepalese cuisine with produce sourced from local suppliers across the region.
The city centre-based eatery can seat up to 75 people in its main dining area and can hold functions in a private area with a separate bar for up to 30 guests.
8848 is open 2pm until 10pm from Sundays to Thursdays and 2pm until 10.30pm from Fridays to Mondays. Lunch, à la carte and all-day tapas menus are available.
