A cracking finish to Trinity Centre’s Easter Egg Appeal!

The Trinity Centre held their eighteenth annual Easter Egg Appeal this year, another year another egg-cellent result!

With the continuous support from shoppers, businesses, contractors and retailers this year not only has the centre beaten last year’s total of 4,200, it’s their best year yet - the centre has collected a cracking 5,036 chocolate Easter eggs!!!

Since 2000 the centre has distributed over 50,824 eggs to over 60 worthwhile children’s organisations, charities, crèches, hospitals and family centres in Aberdeen.*

General manager, Linda Stewart and the rest of the Trinity Team would like to thank every single customer that dropped off a chocolate egg or donated money at our drop off point on the mall or down at our reception, you have helped spread some much needed Easter cheer in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas.

Linda commented, “We are delighted with the response that the appeal has attracted. We have developed a strong relationship with our shoppers along with local and national companies that have offered their continuous support throughout the years, with their help we have totally smashed our target!

It makes all the hard work worthwhile when you get to see how happy the children are when they receive their egg.

We are also tremendously thankful to see such generous donations; an anonymous customer kindly donated £50 towards our appeal via our egg on the mall and we have seen a rise in the number of local businesses wanting to get involved or hold their own internal collections. Also a very special thank you to dozens of young football teams who came together and collected over 239 Easter Eggs for the Appeal, it is heart-warming to see youngsters supporting such a worthy cause.

On behalf of everyone who received an egg we want to say a MASSIVE Thank you!”
