A deep clean of Union Street was under way today as part of a City Centre Masterplan project.
This marks the third grime-busting blitz since Operation Union Street Rejuvenation was launched last September.
The power-washing of pavements, which is being carried out by a specialist local firm, is expected to last around 10 days.
The first phase of Operation Union Street Rejuvenation has included the upgrading of street furniture and the creation of a team dedicated to looking after the area.
Operation Union Street Rejuvenation is being co-led by Aberdeen Inspired, the banner under which the Aberdeen BID operates.
The next phase will focus on improving the fabric of historic buildings as part of a Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme.
The longer term Masterplan vision is for pedestrian priority between Bridge Street and the Castlegate.
