NHV Group’s Aberdeen base was thrilled to once again host its much-loved Family Day on Saturday 28th July, welcoming colleagues, clients, and their families for a fun-filled day at the heart of our operations.
After the success of previous years, the team pulled out all the stops to deliver another memorable experience. Under sunny skies, guests were invited behind the scenes to our Dyce base to explore our impressive facilities, meet the team, and get up close with the powerful Airbus H175 helicopter that are used for daily operations in the North Sea and a main gear box.
From bouncy castles to pilot meet-and-greets, the day offered a unique look at NHV’s vital role in supporting offshore operations in the North Sea. Over 450 visitors attended and had the chance to hear firsthand from the NHV team of pilots, engineers, and office staff about their daily work and the teamwork it takes to keep our flights safe and efficient whilst enjoying a relaxed atmosphere filled with fun and games. During the event, the Trump C17 landed and took off also which the visitors enjoyed.
Charni Riches, base manager at NHV Aberdeen, said: “Family Day is a highlight of our calendar – a chance to open our doors and show pride in what we do. It’s incredibly rewarding to share our world with the families behind our people and the clients we work so closely with.”
The event had something for everyone, with a bouncy castle, lawn games a delicious BBQ provided by Skoff Catering, Ice cream provided by Mrs Dowsons and a coffee van from Café 2 U. NHV Group was also joined by its trusted partners, Aberdeen Airport Fire Section, Police Scotland, Survitec.
