Peterson Energy Logistics is heralding a new era of intelligent data-driven tracking, analysis, and optimisation for energy supply chains with the development of its market-leading software suite Lighthouse.
The new Lighthouse AI feature has AI agent solutions enabled to analyse robust data sets and provide recommendations which streamline processes, optimise operations, and cut costs and carbon.
Lighthouse, which is also now ready to deploy in as little as a day as a Software as a Service (SaaS) product, has been built and developed with, and used by, Peterson’s logistics experts who have processed around 10m tonnes of cargo through the system in the past 13 years.
Sarah Moore, Chief Executive of Peterson Energy Logistics, said: “As the energy and technology landscapes evolve, it has never been more important to recognise and act upon the value of data.
“When we launched Lighthouse back in 2012, investing in innovation for logistics, a traditional service offering, was new and a leap into the unknown. It has now become our norm.
“It is now time to take a new leap and lead a new norm – one which takes data from what we and our customers can see, to what we understand by transforming it into actionable insights and intelligence.”
Jaye Deighton, Global Head of ICT and Innovation at Peterson, and Gregor Wilson, Projects and Innovation Manager
Lighthouse empowers a quiet, seamless logistics supply chain, unburdening clients from time-consuming manual processes, offering real-time insight into areas such as cargo movement, quayside management, vessel activity, and third-party rental optimisation.
Jaye Deighton, Global Head of ICT and Innovation at Peterson, said: “We talk about Lighthouse illuminating the supply chain. In the first iteration that meant shining a light so that people could find the information they were looking for. Through the Lighthouse AI feature, that has moved on significantly. The data is illuminating operations – the insights can make a significant difference to how businesses strategically conduct their supply chain operations.
“From a tech perspective, harnessing AI tools in this way is incredibly exciting and delivering tangible outputs which will support reducing non-productive time, optimising asset usage, and strategic developments. It is also a huge step forward to be able to deploy this in a SaaS capacity – taking the technology to customers on a global scale.”
