Aberdeen Air Source Heating has announced the expansion of its renewable energy services with the introduction of home battery storage solutions, offering homeowners across the North-east greater control over their energy use, reduced electricity costs, and enhanced resilience during power outages.
For households already benefiting from an air source heat pump, the addition of a home battery can significantly amplify savings. Battery storage allows homeowners to charge at low-cost times and use that stored energy to run their heat pump throughout the day, reducing heating costs and creating a more stable energy bill.
As well as lowering running costs, battery systems provide crucial backup capability, ensuring you can keep the lights on during power cuts. With the region experiencing more frequent outages, this upgrade offers both reassurance and practical benefits.
“We’re delighted to bring battery storage to our customers at a time when energy independence has never been more important,” said Robert Devine, managing director, Aberdeen Air Source Heating. “For customers with air source heat pumps, battery storage offers a genuine opportunity to cut running costs even further, maintain comfort during power cuts and take more control of how and when their energy is used.”
While Aberdeen Air Source Heating can supply and install a range of high-performing battery systems, the Tesla Powerwall stands out thanks to its intelligent energy management, powerful outage protection, robust design and system-expansion capability. Its integrated inverter and ability to optimise energy storage make it particularly well suited to integration with other home renewables solutions.
To further support adoption, Tesla has announced a limited-time rebate of up to £750 for installations of eligible Powerwall 3 units ordered between 1 December 2025 and 31 March 2026, with installations completed by 31 May 2026. The rebate is delivered as a Virtual Visa® Reward Card and applies to up to two units per site.
Battery storage systems are now available for installation through Aberdeen Air Source Heating.
