Aberdeen Arts Centre has launched a suite of corporate sponsorship packages as part of its campaign to save the city’s only grassroots theatre.
The packages form part of the Save Aberdeen Arts Centre campaign, and range from £2,000-20,000. Businesses with higher or lower budgets are also encouraged to get in touch to discuss bespoke sponsorship opportunities.
Benefits for corporate sponsors include advertising in print, online and throughout the venue; use of venue facilities for private events; and exclusive backstage tours and sparkling receptions.
More information about the packages is available at https://www.aberdeenartscentre.com/save-aberdeen-arts-centre, or by contacting fundraiser Julia Smith on julia@aberdeenartscentre.com or 01224 635208.
Julia said: “We have been blown away by the support from passionate individuals across the north east of Scotland for the campaign, and would love to also connect with businesses that share our values and want to promote grassroots arts in Aberdeen.
“The incredible creative community has raised over £35,000 so far – but it’s only by engaging with community-minded businesses that we have a chance of meeting our £180,000 target by July 1.
“I would love to grab a cup of coffee with representatives from any business – large or small – to chat about how they can get involved in the campaign to keep grassroots arts alive in Aberdeen.”
Sharon Catchpole, interim executive director of Aberdeen Arts Centre, added: “Places like Aberdeen Arts Centre are shaping the workforce of tomorrow. Through creative programmes, young people develop the skills businesses value most: communication, resilience, adaptability, leadership, and confidence.
“These are not just performance skills – they’re life skills, foundational to success in any industry.
“Participants leave our workshops not just with memories of performance, but with the ability to speak up, work in teams, solve problems creatively, and manage pressure – qualities employers seek across every sector, from energy to education, hospitality to healthcare.
“By supporting Aberdeen Arts Centre, you are investing in a pipeline of prepared, passionate and capable individuals ready to contribute to the region’s economic and social future.
“This is more than a venue. It’s a launchpad for potential, a home for creativity, and a training ground for life.”
Alongside sponsorship, businesses looking to support Aberdeen Arts Centre can utilise the venue’s various meetings and events spaces – with half day rates starting from a very competitive £110. More information about room hire can be found at https://www.aberdeenartscentre.com/venue-room-hire.
Aberdeen Arts Centre is an independent arts venue and registered charity in the heart of Aberdeen. For over 60 years, it has played a crucial role in the north east’s vibrant arts scene through its programme of performances, Creative Learning Programme for children and adults, and an Artist Development Programme to support local professional creatives.
The venue encompasses a 350-seater auditorium; café bar; flexible spaces for performances, events, exhibitions and meetings; and the Children’s Theatre, opened by Catherine Hollingworth in the 1950s as a pioneering youth theatre (the first of its kind in the UK) and now used as a vital resource for professional artist development.
