Aberdeen-headquartered decommissioning specialists NMC Energy have committed around £250,000 to new office premises on Union Street, reinforcing the company’s commitment to Aberdeen city centre and confidence in the city’s future as a global energy hub.
The move to a prime Union Street location within Diligent House represents a significant investment in the heart of Aberdeen and reflects NMC Energy’s long-term commitment to the city. While the relocation provides additional space to support the company’s continued growth, it also demonstrates confidence in the ongoing regeneration and future potential of the city centre.
Rather than relocating away from the city centre, NMC Energy made a deliberate decision to invest in Union Street at a time when the area has been the subject of ongoing debate around vacancies and regeneration. The company believes that a strong city centre remains vital to attracting talent, collaboration and maintaining Aberdeen’s position as a hub for energy expertise.
The £250,000 investment will see the new office fully fitted out to support modern ways of working, with space designed to accommodate both current staff and future requirements. The new office will provide additional space for NMC Energy's team and support the company's future operational requirements from a central Aberdeen location.
Konstantin Nazaruk, CEO of NMC Energy, said: “Our move to Union Street is an important milestone for NMC Energy and reflects our confidence in Aberdeen and its future. As a business headquartered in the city, we wanted to invest in a location that supports both our team and the wider city centre.
“The new office gives us the space we need for the future and creates an environment where our people can continue to collaborate and deliver for our clients. While our business continues to grow, this move is equally about being part of Aberdeen’s ongoing story and supporting the city centre as a place where businesses can thrive.”

The Union Street premises will be shared with Our Union Street, aligning NMC Energy’s investment with wider efforts to reinvigorate the city centre and encourage businesses to lead by example through active investment and occupancy.
Chairman and Leader of Our Union Street, Bob Keiller, said: “NMC Energy’s decision to invest significantly in Union Street sends an important and positive signal about the future of Aberdeen city centre. This is exactly the kind of leadership and long-term commitment that helps drive confidence, encourage further investment and support regeneration.”
Bob added: “By choosing to grow in the heart of the city, NMC Energy is leading by example, demonstrating that Union Street remains a viable and attractive location for ambitious businesses.”
