Aberdeen-based digital media production company SIGNAL2NOISE have kick-started 2018 in celebration after winning a prestigious Gold Award at the Aurora Awards in the USA, for the second year in a row.

The Edradour-Glenlivet Trailer was created for oil and gas operator TOTAL E&P UK and explains the scope, challenges and importance of the Edradour-Glenlivet project; a gas-condensate recovery development west of Shetland. With a cinematic style that combines photo-realistic 3D models of subsea infrastructure with real-world environments, the story is told by key members of the TOTAL project team.

The Trailer was designed to precede the longer Legacy film; an ambitious documentary-style film detailing the project from start to finish that has just been released: https://youtu.be/JuVOrVMee_0

Both projects required filming in the UK, Norway, France and offshore West of Shetland spread over a 2-year period and covered design, fabrication, manufacture and installation work scopes. The Edradour-Glenlivet Trailer and Legacy films have both been extremely well received by TOTAL and their partners.

The Aurora Award Judges commended the film on its outstanding, imaginative animations.

With such a positive start to 2018 already, SIGNAL2NOISE are looking ahead to future projects and new business wins to hopefully continue their successful run of award-winning films.

Jamie Baikie, SIGNAL2NOISE senior producer said, “With a number of new projects on the horizon, we’re delighted to win this top award, which adds to our proven track record. We’re extremely proud to be working with TOTAL and excited to work on more creatively challenging films in the coming year.”
