Aberdeen-based Marvelle Events has launched a new podcast, The Marvelle Edit, focused on sharing insights from across the events industry.
The podcast brings together event professionals involved in delivering conferences, awards ceremonies, gala dinners, brand activations and large-scale events, to offer a practical look at how events are designed and executed.
Created and hosted by Jill Butler Rennie managing director of Marvelle Events, the podcast provides a platform for professionals working across the event supply chain, including event managers, venues, entertainers, technical specialists and creative suppliers.
The episodes explore the realities of delivering corporate events, from setting objectives, planning and logistics, through to design, production and client expectations. The aim is to give a clearer understanding of what goes into producing events at scale, particularly within business and organisational settings, and is aimed at anyone working in the sector.
Working with Aberdeen based SZN Media who specialise in 3d animation, audio and podcast production, guests are from the local event’s scene and further afield. Chris Mcdonald of SZN said: “After making her appearance on our Seasonal Discussions podcast, we are delighted to be able to help bring Jill’s vision for this project to life. It really helps showcase just how strong the regions events industry really is.”
The podcast also highlights the role of design in shaping how events are experienced, moving beyond logistics to focus on how environments, layout and atmosphere influence engagement, an area Marvelle are passionate about:
“Corporate events are often judged on how they run, but not always on how they feel, which is ultimately the most important factor, especially when it is recurring event. We wanted to bring together the people who deliver these events to share their expertise around what works, what doesn’t, and what actually makes an impact.”
The podcast is a mix of video and audio only content and will be hosted on the usual podcast platforms.
