The Spanish summer sunshine is about to become more accessible than ever, with Aberdeen International Airport securing two new direct routes to Barcelona and and Mallorca.
Launching next year, easyJet will run the summer routes directly from the Granite City to two of Spain's most popular desinations.
Jonathan Ford, Portfolio Manager at AGS Airports, hailed the Barcelona route as "particularly exciting", marking the first time ever the two cities have been connected with a direct flight.
Flights from Aberdeen to Barcelona will launch on March 31 2027, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flights to Mallorca will begin on May 3 2027, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.
The two new routes mark further growth for easyJet at Aberdeen, following the addition of services to Paris Charles de Gaulle and Belfast International, giving customers in the country more opportunities to travel directly from their local airport.
