Aberdeen's NCP car parks are to continue operating as normal, despite the firm collapsing into administration this week.

The Granite City has three NCP-operated car parks, on Shiprow, Ruby Lance and Crown Lane.

But joint administrators PwC partners Zelf Hussain, Rachel Wilkinson and Toby Banfield, the Press and Journal reports, have confirmed the sites "will remain open, employees will continue in their roles, and trading continues as normal."

While the immediate future of the sites appears secure, the administrators will now analyse each location independently before deciding if it is necessary to shut or sell off any.

Japanese parking company NCP blamed falling commuter levels post-pandemic for its financial struggles as it appointed administrators on Monday evening.
