Limited funding remains in the Aberdeen Energy Efficiency Programme, offering local businesses and organisations the chance to cut energy costs with non-repayable grants of up to £10,000
SMEs, sole traders, and third-sector organisations in the Aberdeen City Council area can claim up to 50% of project costs for energy-saving upgrades such as solar panels, insulation, LED lighting, and low-carbon heating systems.
With funding being snapped up quickly, those interested are urged to apply as soon as possible to secure support before the fund is fully allocated. Projects must be completed by 31 March 2026.
David Mackay, co-chief executive officer at Scarf said: “Energy costs are still a major pressure for local businesses. This funding offers an amazing opportunity to cut those bills, but with demand high, organisations need to act quickly to secure support.”

The fund is helping Aberdeen businesses reduce carbon emissions while strengthening their long-term resilience, delivering benefits for both the local economy and the environment. Organisations are encouraged to apply now and make the most of this final phase of available funding.
