Mara Marxt Lewis has been appointed creative changemaker for climate action at Aberdeen Performing Arts.
Mara joins the organisation to focus on building meaningful bridges between creative expression and environmental action - connecting communities, artists, and venues through projects that inspire genuine change.
Mara's background includes experience at the Banff Centre in Canada, working closely with artists, designers, and local communities to develop environmentally conscious and culturally relevant projects.
Mara said: "I’m looking forward to working with the team at Aberdeen Performing Arts in our journey toward becoming an even more environmentally conscious organisation.
“My community engagement philosophy is built on genuine human connection and trust. I'm eager to collaborate with other like-minded organisations and individuals in the area to grow a network where, together, we can harness the transformative power of the arts to address our climate emergency in ways that are inclusive, meaningful, and create lasting positive change."
