Aberdeen RNLI checkout with £500 donation from ASDA

Shoppers at ASDA Middleton Park in Aberdeen have voted a £500 donation to go to Aberdeen Lifeboat Station.

ASDA’s Green Token Giving scheme gives shoppers the chance to choose between three local causes, leading to one donation of £500 and two of £200 with the funds coming from the ASDA Foundation.

Jan Craig, community champion at ASDA Middleton Park, visited Aberdeen Lifeboat Station to present the cheque and said: “I’m delighted to have the chance to present this money to such a worthwhile local cause.”

Bill Deans MBE, Aberdeen Lifeboat operations manager was delighted with this vital support. “The RNLI is totally dependent on donations from the community to support our work saving lives at sea. On behalf of our volunteer crew, we’d like to say a big thank you to ASDA and their shoppers for their support.”
