Aberdeen Science Centre has announced the launch of an early years’ learning programme, Wee Wonderers, a structured series of interactive sessions designed especially for children aged 2–5.
Created to spark curiosity and support early development, the programme offers a playful introduction to science and discovery through hands-on exploration in a fun and supportive environment.
Each Wee Wonderers session runs weekly for two hours and is built around a different engaging theme. Children spend one hour exploring the Science Centre’s interactive exhibition floor, followed by a dedicated workshop hour featuring activities, storytelling, and guided learning experiences tailored to young minds.
To ensure continuity and maximise learning outcomes, families are required to book the full four-session programme. This approach allows children to build on their learning each week while enjoying a complete themed journey from start to finish. Booking the full series also offers significant value, with savings of over £50 compared to purchasing individual sessions.
The upcoming programme runs from 10:00am to 12:00pm on the following dates:
- Monday, May 11 – Budding Builders
- Monday, May 18 – Mini Medics
- Monday, May 25 – Colour Lab
- Monday, June 1 – Adventures in Space
Wee Wonderers forms part of Aberdeen Science Centre’s wider commitment to inspiring curiosity in STEM from an early age, helping young children develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through play-based education.
