Nestrans is hosting a Business Breakfast to help identify transport issues in the North Dee, Altens and Tullos areas, and promote the use of more active and sustainable modes of travel, including walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing. The project is being delivered in partnership with Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council, and has received EU funding from the CIVITAS PORTIS programme.

Sweco’s Claire Fitzsimmons, who is leading the project on behalf of Nestrans, said: “Through our project we want to make these areas easier to access and would love to hear views from the people who work there on any transport issues that they have, any improvements that might help people to access the area better, and ways to encourage people to travel more sustainably.” The event will include short presentations covering topics including the free support available to workplaces, local cycling initiatives, and links between active travel and public health; and also provides an opportunity for local employers to have their say on how transport affects their business.

The Business Breakfast takes place on Wednesday, March 20, at the Aberdeen Altens Hotel. To find out more click here.
