Wine lovers and food enthusiasts in the Granite City are in for a treat as Aberdeen Local Wine School announces an exciting new collaboration with local café and cultural hub, Books & Beans.
The partnership has given rise to two unique food and wine tasting experiences set to showcase international flavours through expertly curated pairings. The events promise to blend education and enjoyment, offering guests a guided tour of international wine and food pairings in a relaxed and social setting.
The first event, Greek Mezze & Wine, takes place on Friday 30th May from 7:30 to 9:30pm. Guests will enjoy six authentic Greek-inspired mezze dishes, each thoughtfully paired with a different Greek wine. With Greece continuing to grow in popularity as a wine-producing nation, and more of its bottles appearing on UK shelves, this event offers the perfect chance to explore the country’s wine scene in a delicious and approachable way. The two-hour session includes guided tastings with expert notes and insights into each pairing.
Taking place on Friday 4th July from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, A Taste of America is a vibrant culinary journey through the diverse food and wine traditions of the United States. Guests will sample six regional American small plates, each paired with a distinctive wine that reflects the character of the area. From bright whites of California to bold reds from the Pacific Northwest, the tasting menu captures the essence of American winemaking and cuisine.
Both events will be held at Books & Beans in Aberdeen city centre. Spaces are limited, and early booking is advised to avoid missing out on these flavour-filled evenings. Whether you're indulging in the sun-soaked tastes of Greece or the bold regional flavours of the U.S., each event offers a deliciously memorable night out.
