Aberdeen Lord Provost, Dr David Cameron, said: “Our Christmas programme is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to come together and enjoy the festive season.
“With much-loved traditions, family-friendly activities and seasonal celebrations taking place across the city, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. The programme also offers a fantastic chance to support local businesses and experience all that Aberdeen has to offer. We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to share in the celebrations and make special memories with family and friends.”
Alfred Codona Director at John Codona’s Pleasure Fairs, said: “I can’t believe it’s this time of year again already. We are really pleased to welcome a major thrill ride back to the event this year. The Freak Out was hugely popular when it visited three years ago and I’m sure it will be a big hit once again.
“We have managed to squeeze in a few extra market stalls and a new food vendor, so we are really pleased with this year's lineup.”
Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “There is no better place to be for Christmas than in the sparkling Granite City and all the festive delights it has to offer. The many attractions of Aberdeen Christmas Village – and the twinkling atmosphere of the Curated In The Square festive market – is a highlight of the year for many.
“These events will bring thousands of people into the city centre to enjoy Aberdeen’s Christmas spirit, while supporting local businesses – and that is a real gift this festive season.”
John Brebner, Chief Executive of Charlie House, said: “Curated in the Square is returning this year and will provide more opportunities for local businesses to showcase their unique, handcrafted goods, giving busy holiday shoppers even more reason to visit the Christmas Market. Whilst, at the same time raising funds that are crucial in allowing us to provide vital support to families across the North-east of Scotland.”
