Aberdeen’s very own Marius Coste, Group Cleaning Manager at Elior UK, turned Glasgow city centre into a whirlwind of laughter and smiles earlier today as part of his ongoing charity campaign, Miles of Smiles.

Dressed as Pikachu, Marius brought his playful energy to the streets, raising awareness for SAMH- Scottish Action for Mental Health (mental health) and CLAN Cancer Support (cancer support) while sparking joy in everyone who crossed his path.

This follows last week’s iconic Edinburgh Kiltwalk, where Marius was supported by his entire senior Elior UK team – showing that community, fun, and teamwork power his remarkable journey.

Miles of Smiles 2025 highlights so far:

  • ✅ 1,076 km covered (running, cycling & walking)
  • 💜 £995 raised for SAMH (+ £7,000 in 2021)
  • 💛 £485 raised for Clan Cancer Support
  • ❄️ 98 cold showers & 23 cold dips
  • 🎈 Countless smiles shared across Scotland

Marius’s Glasgow adventure was made even brighter thanks to a Pikachu costume donated by neighbour Craig Ritchie, proving that community support fuels every step of the journey.

“Every costume. Every run. Every smile,” says Marius. “This campaign is a reminder that laughter, community, and kindness can carry us through the toughest days – and that there are many more characters waiting to hit the streets.”

From Edinburgh to Glasgow, from kilts to Pokémon tails, Aberdeen’s Marius Coste is showing Scotland the power of fun, fitness, and fundraising.
