The 30th Anniversary Annual Sports Awards evening on Friday 20th March recognised outstanding sporting performances and contributions in Aberdeenshire, providing a great opportunity to acknowledge and reward the commitment and achievements of the athletes, coaches, clubs and volunteers from throughout the area and to showcase the wealth of sporting talent which is evident in the area.

Special guests on the night were the Strongest Brothers in the World, Luke and Tom Stoltman from Invergordon who told their incredible story of their journey to world domination and some of the challenges they overcame.

The Chair of Clubsport Aberdeen Jackie Smith, Provost Judy Whyte, Council Co Leader Ann Stirling and representatives of various sponsor organisations presented the prizes which went to:

  • Young Male Athlete (U18) Aiden Grant, Cross Country skimming
  • Young Female Athlete (U18) Arabella Blackburn, Cycling
  • Adult Female Athlete of the Year Carole Munro, Hyrox
  • Adult Male Athlete of the Year Jason Banks, Bowls
  • Coach of the Year Award David McKenzie, Tug of War
  • Young Coach of the Year (U18) Abigail Bruce, gymnastics
  • Team of the Year Award Cornhill Tug of War
  • Service to Sport Award Dianne Beagrie, Multi sports
  • Adult volunteer of the year Nicholas Smith, Teampolinihy
  • Young Volunteer of the Year (U18) Hollie Siwek, Dance
  • Club of the Year Aboyne Gymnastics and Trampoline Club
  •  Disability Sport Award Joanna Robertson, Wheelchair Racing
  • Active Schools Volunteer of the Year Jonathan Taylor, Inverurie
  • Sport for Change Award The Movement Bothy, Banchory
  • Sports Person of the Year 2025 Jason Banks, Bowls
  • Outstanding contribution to sport in the community Award Peterhead Area Community Trust
