AberNecessities is making a rare public appeal to Aberdeen's business community after warning that its annual Christmas campaign is at risk unless it can secure temporary premises within the coming weeks.

The children's charity, which supports thousands of children living in poverty across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire each year, is urgently searching for a commercial space where volunteers can receive, store and organise donations ahead of Christmas.

Without suitable premises, the charity says its ability to deliver its much-loved Christmas campaign could be significantly affected.

Danielle Flecher-Horn, Founder of AberNecessities, said: "Every year we're overwhelmed by the generosity of this city. Businesses donate, volunteers give up their evenings and weekends, and our community comes together to make sure thousands of children don't go without at Christmas. But none of that can happen without somewhere to operate from.

"We're now at the point where not having a building is becoming a genuine concern. If we don't secure a space soon, it will have a real impact on our ability to deliver our Christmas campaign.

"If you're a landlord, property owner or business with a vacant warehouse, office or commercial space - or you know someone who is - we'd love to hear from you. The right building won't just give us somewhere to work; it will help us deliver Christmas to thousands of local children."

AberNecessities is asking anyone who may be able to help, or who can make an introduction to a landlord or business with suitable vacant premises, to get in touch with the charity as soon as possible.
