Activus Recruitment has signed the DYW North East Employer Pledge, reinforcing its commitment to supporting young people across the North-east of Scotland as they prepare for the world of work.
The recruitment and marketing partner, which works across the construction, engineering, industrial and commercial sectors, has joined the initiative to help young people develop workplace skills, gain career insights and build confidence as they move towards employment.
As part of its pledge, Activus Recruitment will continue to work alongside DYW North East to support young people through school engagement activities, careers advice, employability support and industry insight.
Judy Murdoch, Recruitment Consultant from Activus said: “At Activus, people are at the heart of everything we do. Our business is built on connecting talented individuals with rewarding career opportunities, making the DYW North East Employer Pledge a natural fit with our values. We recognise the importance of supporting the next generation through the DYW Pledge, because every expert was once a beginner, and the right support and opportunities can shape future success.”
Activus Recruitment has already received positive feedback for its engagement with local schools. Following a recent school activity involving Business Development Lead Yvonne Shearer, Stuart Clark, employer school co-ordinator, praised the company’s contribution.
Stuart Clark said: “Yvonne has such a warm, welcoming personality that I knew the pupils would respond well to. She was excellent with the kids on the day, and you will definitely be top of my list of asks in the future.”
Activus Recruitment & Marketing believes that supporting Developing the Young Workforce will help create stronger links between education and industry while contributing to the development of future talent in the North-east.
