Acumon has announced the appointment of Jack Borg-Delaney as Head of Scotland, marking the launch of the firm’s presence in the Scottish market.
The appointment follows the firm’s rebrand from Johnsons, which has seen significant growth over the past five years as it has evolved into a national practice.
Based in Aberdeen, Borg-Delaney will lead Acumon’s Scottish operations and support businesses and professional firms across the country. A chartered accountant with nearly 20 years of experience, he has spent more than a decade working in the Big Four and has advised a wide range of organisations throughout his career, from owner-managed businesses to large international groups.
Acumon operates as a modern, full-service accountancy and advisory practice, providing services including audit and assurance, internal audit, financial reporting, accounting support and broader business advisory services. The firm combines deep technical expertise with a progressive approach to delivering professional services, helping organisations navigate increasingly complex financial, regulatory and commercial environments.
The practice also holds the capability to undertake audits of Public Interest Entities (PIEs), reflecting its ability to support larger and more complex organisations.
Aberdeen will serve as the base for Acumon’s Scottish leadership, reflecting the strength and resilience of the North East’s business community and its long-standing role as a centre for internationally connected industries.
Jack Borg-Delaney said: "Aberdeen has consistently demonstrated its resilience and ability to evolve, and it remains one of the UK’s most internationally connected business communities. I’m excited to lead Acumon’s Scottish practice from the city and work with organisations across Scotland as they grow, innovate and navigate an increasingly complex business environment."
