Scottish dealmaker Adam Maitland has been appointed Head of Cooper Parry's national Corporate Finance business, leading one of the UK's fastest-growing advisory teams from the firm's Scottish hub.

Adam takes on the role leadership from Andy Parker, who has overseen the transformation of Cooper Parry's
Corporate Finance business into a national, sector-led advisory team operating across 13 locations throughout the UK.

Andy will remain a key part of the business, continuing to advise clients, lead Cooper Parry's health and social
care sector activity and support the ongoing growth of the Corporate Finance team.

Adam joined Cooper Parry following its acquisition of Hutcheon Mearns in 2025 and has quickly established
himself as a leading figure within the firm. An experienced dealmaker, he founded the deals advisory practice at Hutcheon Mearns based in Aberdeen in 2017.

He’s built a reputation for giving founders and investors the kind of pragmatic commercial advice he’d want if it were his own deal on the table.

His impact on the Scottish market was recognised in 2025 when he was named Scottish Dealmaker of the Year by Insider and advised on the Scottish deal of the year. Recently he has been shortlisted for advising on Deal of Year (£10-£50m) for the upcoming 2026 awards.

In his new role, Adam will lead Cooper Parry's national Corporate Finance team, working with colleagues and
clients across the UK while remaining based in Aberdeen.

Corporate Finance is a central pillar of Cooper Parry’s advisory business, supporting the firm’s continued
expansion as it builds the UK’s leading next-gen professional services group servicing the mid-market across Advisory, Wealth Management and Digital.

All from a single and joined-up source with an ambition to achieve £600m in revenue by 2028.

Adam Maitland said: "I've never believed our job is simply to get deals done. Our role is to help ambitious business owners make better decisions and create long-term value.

"That philosophy was at the heart of building Hutcheon Mearns Corporate Finance and it's one of
the reasons Cooper Parry has been such a natural fit.

"We share a belief that clients want honest advice, joined-up thinking and support that extends far beyond a single transaction.

"Scotland is home to some of the most ambitious and entrepreneurial businesses anywhere in the
UK. This appointment reflects Cooper Parry's continued commitment to the Scottish market and
its belief that Scotland will play a central role in the firm's future growth.

"We have exceptional people, strong momentum and a real opportunity to build something genuinely different in the Corporate Finance market. That's an opportunity I'm incredibly excited about."

James Parnell, Managing Director at Cooper Parry Advisory, said: "Adam's appointment demonstrates the strength of talent we have across our business and reflects the increasingly important role Scotland plays within Cooper Parry's growth story.

"Since joining the firm, Adam has made a significant impact. He's built strong relationships across the business, impressed clients with his commercial approach and established himself as a highly respected leader. His appointment recognises the contribution he's already made and the opportunity he has to take the business even further.

"Andy has done an outstanding job leading our Corporate Finance team over the last 11 years and will continue to play a major role in the business. Together, Adam and Andy give us an exceptionally strong leadership platform as we continue to grow our national advisory offering."

Andy Parker said: "I'm incredibly proud of what the team has achieved over the past 11 years and excited about what comes next.

"Adam has made a tremendous impact since joining Cooper Parry and is a natural choice to lead the business. He combines excellent dealmaking credentials with strong leadership qualities and a clear vision for the future.

"I'll continue working with clients and colleagues across the business and look forward to supporting Adam and the wider team as Cooper Parry enters its next phase of growth."
