International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has announced a new partnership with the DP World Tour, becoming the first Official Legal Supporter of one of golf’s most prestigious events, the Genesis Scottish Open.
The firm has signed a three-year deal with the tournament, which takes place at the Renaissance Club in East Lothian from 9-12 July.
The Genesis Scottish Open is a premier fixture on the DP World Tour, one of the five tournaments that make up the Rolex Series, and is co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR. It is the final chance for players to qualify for the Open Championship which takes place the following week, this year at Royal Birkdale.
Previous winners of the event include Scotland’s own Bob MacIntyre and Colin Montgomerie and career grand slam winner Rory McIlroy, who has confirmed his participation in this year’s event.
Alan Shanks, Head of Scotland at Addleshaw Goddard, said: “We are thrilled to become the Official Legal Supporter of the Genesis Scottish Open, a partnership which not only adds further weight to our presence in the Scottish market but will showcase our brand and expertise to a truly international audience. The Genesis Scottish Open is one of the most high-profile and prestigious events in Scotland and is the perfect fit and alignment with the AG brand.
“This partnership will provide a unique platform for us to engage with our clients. We also have exciting plans to build on our commitment to unlocking young potential over the period of our partnership.”
