The first phase of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) collaboration between DEV4 Online Ltd and Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) School of Computing, Engineering & Technology (SOCET) has now been completed, marking an important milestone in the partnership.

The relationship between the two organisations has grown stronger throughout the project, with all parties benefiting from shared expertise and practical experience.

Special recognition goes to Dr. Lee Christie, Dr. Ciprian Zavoianu, and the dedicated teams at both RGU and DEV4 for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the project. The outcome is not only a working AI model but also a significant expansion of knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence among all stakeholders, bringing valuable new capabilities into equipment management practice.

DEV4’s ongoing commitment to innovation and collaboration has also been recognised externally, with the company recently shortlisted for the Innovation Business of the Year award at the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards.

Gail Henderson, CEO of DEV4 Online Ltd, said: “This project with RGU exemplifies the forward-thinking, partnership-driven approach that underpins DEV4’s nomination - delivering practical digital transformation for industry and empowering both clients and the next generation of tech talent.

“Looking ahead, DEV4’s next objective is to work closely with Equi-track customers to deliver intelligent automation for planning and supporting decision making in equipment management. The company believes the true value of AI lies in its ability to help businesses harness their equipment data more effectively - reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and enabling teams to focus more on growth and customer service.”

As the project moves into its next phase, DEV4 is seeking to engage with industry representatives interested in advancing their equipment management through innovative, data-driven solutions. This initiative represents a step forward in digital transformation, offering practical benefits for organisations ready to explore the potential of intelligent automation.
